On September 22, WILEF celebrated its Tenth Anniversary with a gala cocktail party at The Yale Club in New York City.
The 2016 Gold Standard awards went to 34 law firms.
Valerie Radwaner, Deputy Chair of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, a WILEF sponsor, accepted her firm’s award.
Kori Carew, Director of Strategic Diversity Initiatives of Shook Hardy & Bacon, accepted the award for her firm, a six-time recipient. Since the inception of the Gold Standard, Shook Hardy has qualified in all six criteria.
Prior to the cocktail party, WILEF held its annual meeting at the offices of Cooley.
The annual meeting always has a full agenda and this year was no exception. Included in the agenda was the presentation of 10th Anniversary Leadership awards to four board members who have served WILEF for the past 10 years:
Barbara Kolsun, Adjunct Professor of Fashion Law and Co-Director of The FAME Center at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
Phyllis G. Korff, Of Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Patti Skigen, AIG (retired).
