Hunton & Williams has expanded its environmental practice with the addition of San Francisco partner Shannon S. Broome. Broome, who was previously managing partner of Katten Muchin Rosenman’s San Francisco office, has also been named office managing partner.

Barbara R. Grayson and H. Debra Levin have joined Jenner & Block’s Chicago office from Mayer Brown and Seyfarth Shaw, respectively. The pair will co-chair the firm’s new private wealth practice. At Seyfarth, Levin chaired the firm’s national trusts and estates practice.

Deborah L. Steiner has been named general counsel of Chicago-based R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company. She previously served as the company’s vice president, associate general counsel. In addition, Suzanne S. Bettman has been named chief administrative officer and general counsel of R.R. Donnelley spinoff LSC Communications and Jennifer B. Reiners has been named general counsel of the spinoff Donnelley Financial Solutions. Bettman previously served as R.R. Donnelley’s executive vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer and Reiners was previously senior vice president and deputy general counsel. These appointments will take effect once the spinoffs are complete, which is expected to occur in October.

Jones Day has recruited Elizabeth Dougherty and Jacqueline Hodes to join the firm as partners. Dougherty joins the firm’s Washington, D.C., office from Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart. With a focus on transportation labor issues, she is part of the firm’s labor and employment practice. She also chairs and sits on the board of the National Mediation Board, which is an independent agency that oversees airline and railroad labor relations, and administers the Railway Labor Act. An M&A lawyer, Hodes joins the firm’s Miami office from DLA Piper.

Serena Carlsen, Paula Goodwin and Susan von Herrmann have joined Perkins Coie as partners. Carlsen, who is resident in the firm’s Seattle office, joins the real estate and land use practice from Stoel Rives. Goodwin and von Herrmann, who are members of the trust and estate panning practice, both join the firm’s San Francisco office from Schiff Hardin.

Adrienne E. Clair has joined Thompson Coburn’s Washington, D.C., utilities practice as a partner. She was previously a partner at Stinson Leonard Street, where she co-chaired the energy, mining, transportation and telecommunications division.

Tina Albright has joined Day Pitney’s New York office as a partner. Albright is a trusts and estates lawyer who counsels high net-worth individuals and families. She previously practiced at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle.

Duane Morris’s Miami office has recruited five partners, including Marsha G. Madorsky, from Carlton Fields Jorden Burt. Madorsky’s practice focuses on estate, trust and guardianship matters for high net-worth individuals, family offices and closely held businesses.

Alessandra Murata has joined Goodwin Procter’s Menlo Park, Calif., office as a partner. Previously counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Murata is a member of the firm’s ERISA and executive compensation practice.

Greenberg Traurig has hired Audry X. Casusol as a partner in its corporate and securities practice. Previously at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Casusol’s work focuses on executive compensation and employee benefit matters. She is resident in the firm’s New York office.

Marjorie F. Gannett has joined Holland & Knight’s Washington, D.C., office as a member of its real estate practice. Gannett was previously at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

McDermott Will & Emery has recruited Erin Kartheiser to join the firm’s Chicago office as partner. An executive compensation lawyer, Kartheiser joins the firm’s health and welfare benefits, and qualified plan practices from Winston & Strawn.

Yi-Chin Ho and Sarah Stasny have joined Kirkland & Ellis‘s Los Angeles and New York offices, respectively, as partners. Ho is a member of the firm’s litigation practice and was previously at Latham & Watkins. Stasny, who hails from Weil Gotshal & Manges, is a member of the firm’s corporate practice with a focus on private equity.

Employment litigator Ethel J. Johnson has joined Morgan Lewis’s Dallas and Houston offices as a partner. Previously, Johnson practiced at Shook, Hardy & Bacon.

Sara L. Terheggen has joined Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office as a partner in the corporate practice. Terheggen joins the firm from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has hired Woon-Wah Siu as partner in its Washington, D.C., office. A member of the firm’s corporate and securities practice, Siu joins Pillsbury from Bell, Boyd & Lloyd.

Susan Egeland and Margaret (Peggy) Holm have joined Sedgwick as partners. Previously a partner at Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young, Egeland is based in Dallas and defends clients in products liability and business litigation. Holm, who was previously a partner at Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O’Keefe & Nichols, is a trial lawyer who has tried more than 150 civil cases to verdict. She will be based in the firm’s Orange County office.

Shutts & Bowen has recruited Robin King to joins its West Palm Beach office as a partner. King, who is a member of the firm’s trusts and estates practice, was previously at Locke Lord.

M&A lawyer Megan Gess has joined Troutman Sanders’s corporate practice as a partner in the firm’s Irvine, Calif., office. Gess previously practiced at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton.
