In celebration of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s birthday on March 15, WILEF Northern California Co-Vice Chair and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius partner Charlene (Chuck) Shimada interviewed University of California, Berkeley Professor of Law Amanda Tyler, a former law clerk to Justice Ginsburg.

Professor Tyler co-authored with Justice Ginsburg the book Justice, Justice Thou Shalt Pursue: A Life’s Work Fighting for a More Perfect Union, published by the University of California Press in March. The book arose from a collaboration between Justice Ginsburg and Professor Tyler, including a conversation at Berkeley Law in which Justice Ginsburg told her life story.
