CBS Promotes Naomi Waltman

Naomi Waltman, WILEF’s Deputy Global Chair for In-House, has been promoted to Executive Vice President & Associate General Counsel, Litigation for CBS Corporation.

Previously, Waltman was Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel.

Having worked across the entire range of the CBS’s business activities, she has experience that spans its vast and varied litigation portfolio. In recent years, Waltman has been a leader of industry-wide litigation initiatives protecting CBS’s content, including securing victory in the 2014 U.S. Supreme Court decision of American Broadcasting Cos., Inc. v. Aereo, Inc.

A well-recognized leader in the legal profession, Waltman is frequently honored by external legal and professional organizations. She was recently recognized as a 2018 National Woman in Law Honoree (Technology, Media, and Telecom category).

Waltman joined CBS in 1995 following a clerkship in the U.S. District Court of Connecticut and several years in the litigation department of Kaye Scholer LLP. She graduated from Stanford University and Stanford Law School and currently sits on the law school’s Board of Visitors.
