Sidley’s Pamela Martinson Named President of American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers

Sidley Austin’s Pamela Martinson, Co-Vice Chair of WILEF and a Global Advisory Board member, has been elected President of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers for the 2020–2021 year.

A partner in Sidley’s Global Finance group with 31 years of legal experience, Martinson focuses on commercial finance and is preeminent in the field. She is based in Palo Alto where she represents major institutional and other lenders, lessors, borrowers and equity sponsors.

Her extensive experience includes complex financings of all kinds, including syndicated lending transactions (secured and unsecured), equipment leasing, asset-based lending, unitranche loans, subscription finance and structured finance.

Martinson’s experience and proficiency directly align with the college’s dedication to “promoting the field of commercial finance law, and offers a venue to promote and recognize outstanding achievement and advances through education, legislative reform, and the recognition of distinguished practitioners, jurists and academics.”

The college was founded in 1991 and “is a professional association of distinguished lawyers, jurists and academics dedicated to improving and enhancing the practice of commercial finance law and the ethics of the profession.”
